
Climb aboard for a 1 hour and 45-minute journey through the hills and forests of Southern Indiana. The train departs from the historic 1907 Limestone depot located in the heart of French Lick, and only steps from the grand French Lick Hotel.
The trip will take you on a winding ride through the Hoosier National Forest, pass several sites of interest, and through the Burton Tunnel – the second longest railroad tunnel in the State of Indiana at just under 1/2-mile in length.
Regular Scenic Excursions
Coach Class Seating is general admission aboard our open window 1920’s era Rock Island Railroad cars. Groups wishing to sit together should arrive with ample time before departure to ensure they may sit together. Our Rock Island cars are wheelchair accessible. Please note that we are only able to accommodate standard wheelchairs. Please let the ticket agent know you will need the wheelchair lift when picking up your tickets from Will Call.

Cars 1710 & 1720 provide table and chair style seating for guests of all ages. You must purchase all 4 seats at a table. Each ticketed guest will receive a complimentary bottle of water and a French Lick Scenic Railway giveaway. First class seating is the only area on the train with air conditioning. Car 1710 is wheelchair accessible. Please note that we are only able to accommodate standard wheelchairs. Please let the ticket agent know you will need the wheelchair lift when picking up your tickets from Will Call.

Dome Class seating is in the dome of the Northern Pacific Vistadome car. Enjoy views of 360º as you look out over the train. Seating in the dome on each trip is very limited. These are table and chair seats with four seats per table.
The Lower Dome is $140 for a 4-Seat Table. Seating in the Upper Dome is $160 per table
